My Writings. My Thoughts.
What to expect
You are cordially invited to C-Day: Fill The Hill,
What to bring: Everyone you know, a sign or shirt that displays who or what you are Filling The Hill for, comfortable shoes (we have a deep respect for feet). Perhaps litterless food depending on how long you intend to hang out in Ottawa.
What NOT to bring: Anything disposable and/or negativity.
** There is no rain or cold date, friends. If the worst should happen, take heart and remember who you are marching for. On the bright side, you live in Canada, so chances are you’ve seen much worse. Just dress appropriately and remember to thank us for not scheduling this in Churchill in February.
Please note that this is an entirely peaceful and positive event. Our aim is not to point fingers or criticize but to engage and inform. We trust that our Parliament will make the right decisions if we assure them that they can do so with our support and insistence.
C-Day will be a celebration of our togetherness – the togetherness of Canada and of the world. We are gravitating to Parliament Hill in solidarity with fellow Canadian residents, with our countries of ancestry or origin, with our family (literal and figurative) around the world. We have one earth and very little time to rescue ourselves. Has fellowship ever been more important or more tangible?
Let’s not forget, the Power Shift Canada crew will be joining us with a spectacular presentation. This is the biggest youth climate event in Canadian history! Register here.
