Contribute at the event
You can help us on October 24th by:
1. Helping us finance the event. See our wishlist for things large and small that you can help provide us with.
2. Delivering an element of programming. Whatever your art is, we can probably showcase it. Contact program@climateday.ca if you are a musician, a dance group, a percussion group, acrobat, etc. While our noon-3:30 pm schedule on The Hill is rather full, there are opportunities to perform elsewhere.
3. Do you have a venue? We are looking for places like churches, cafes and theatres that can host small events free of cost. Likewise, if you are a poet, a spoken word artist, a theatre group, or a musician, we need you to fill these venues.
4. Get Ottawa on The Hill! On October 24, we need people out on the streets like town criers to get the local people of Ottawa on Parliament Hill.
6. Video coverage. Film the event! This requires a permit, so please contact program@climateday.ca if you are interested. Taking pictures is highly encouraged as well.
7. House Fillers of The Hill. There are many many buses coming in to Ottawa from every direction. Several schools in places as far away as London and Guelph are hoping to stay overnight in Ottawa. This means we need community centres and churches and auditoriums to camp out in.
