Getting to Ottawa
If you live beyond walking or cycling distance from Parliament Hill there are still low impact ways to make the journey.
- OC Transpo
- Gather a group and charter a bus
- Take the Greyhound or another bussing service
- Carpool with commuters via Pickup Pal – Rideshare
- Best of all, go VIA Rail! Support train travel and provide even more impetus for investment in sustainable travel infrastructure. By joining the Sierra Youth Coalition, you can receive 40% discounts on train fares.
If you are really far away (Canada is a big country, after all) host your own event in solidarity. Sign up on www.350.org!
Regional Coordination
There may already be significant planning underway in your region to get people to The Hill. Talk to your school’s student union or local faith groups and organizations to see if they are already arranging group transportation.
